Metfin FR3603 is an amine-based passivation treatment designed for use as a final rinse in zinc and iron phosphate pre-treatment plants. It contains a mild blend of aqueous amines and mild alkalis that effectively neutralise residual acids from the phosphating process and built-in adhesion promoters to enhance the adhesion of coatings. The amine-based formulation prevents flash rusting of components during drying and storage

Metfin FR3603 is typically used as a final stage rinse after iron and zinc phosphating. It provides increased protection for ferrous surfaces during dry-off and significantly enhances the corrosion resistance of zinc and iron phosphate coatings. The resultant finish promotes excellent adhesion of paints and powder coatings improving the overall finish of painted components.

Metfin FR3603 has been specially designed as a safer alternative to chromate conversion coatings. The chrome free formulation is none carcinogenic and does not contain heavy metals.
