Metfin FR3604 - Amine Passivation Treatment
Metfin FR3604 is an amine-based passivation treatment designed for use on ferrous and Zintec metals. It contains a specially selected blend of aqueous amines and mild alkalis that can effectively passivate both Zintec and steel components following phosphating. Its built-in adhesion promoters enhance the adhesion of subsequent coatings, and the amine-based formulation prevents flash rusting of components during drying and storage.
Metfin FR3604 is typically used as a final stage rinse after iron and zinc phosphating. It provides increased protection for treated surfaces during dry-off and significantly enhances the corrosion resistance of zinc and iron phosphate coatings. The resultant finish promotes excellent adhesion of paints and powder coatings improving the overall finish of painted components.
Metfin FR3604 has been specially designed as a safer alternative to chromate conversion coatings. The chrome free formulation is none carcinogenic and does not contain heavy metals.
