Metprotect 3740 is a highly active rust inhibitor and light duty cleaner suitable for many applications. It contains sodium nitrite blended with mild alkalis and wetting agents in order to provide rust inhibition of ferrous metals, with excellent rinsing properties together with a mild cleaning action. Can also be used to produce a highly effective grinding fluid, giving superb cooling and excellent fines precipitation.

Metprotect 3740 may be used in soak, spray wash or barrelling operations, will provide a rust inhibiting rinse for ferrous metals following cleaning and will provide rust inhibition in pressure/leak testing baths. Components treated with Metprotect 3740 are given inter-stage protection against rusting for several days under good internal storage conditions. Metprotect 3740’s rust inhibition, cooling and detergent properties enable it to form a very effective grinding fluid for ferrous metals keeping grinding wheels open and glaze free.
