Metspray AK3815 is a heavy duty alkaline liquid cleaner designed to remove greases, oils and carbonised soils typically encountered in the engineering, manufacturing, and transport industries. It contains a powerful blend of caustic alkalis and advanced surfactants designed to penetrate areas of heavy contamination and remove a wide range of contaminants.

Metspray AK3815 is safe for use on most ferrous metals however care should be taken when applying to sensitive metals as some attack on the base metal can be expected. This allows the product to be used as a controlled etchant for aluminium and zinc alloys where the surface metal will undergo mild surface attack. This makes it especially suited for use prior to chromate conversion coating where a clean contamination free surface is essential.

Metspray AK3815 can be applied by spray or used for immersion cleaning / etching. It is economical to use and can be readily diluted to suit a range of applications. It can be used at ambient temperatures or heated up to 85°C to increase penetration on areas with heavy contamination.
